Privacy Policy

Overview

Health Lumia is an educational health-information app. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the app does and does not collect.

Data we do not collect

Health Lumia does not collect, transmit, or store any personal or health information. Specifically:

• No health data, symptoms, or medical history is ever recorded.
• No account or registration is required.
• No location data is collected.
• No crash-reporting SDKs are included in the app.
• No data is used to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Anonymous usage statistics

Health Lumia sends a small number of anonymous, aggregate usage signals to our own server so we can understand which parts of the app are useful — for example, that a particular disease page or module was opened, or that the Scholar tier was selected. Each signal contains only the type of action and, where relevant, which disease, module, or tier it relates to. No device identifier, advertising identifier, IP address, account information, or per-action timestamp is ever included, and our server only ever increments an aggregate daily count — it does not keep a record of individual actions, so there is nothing that could be traced back to your device or to you personally, even internally. This data is not shared with any third party and is not used for advertising.

Advertising

The free Explorer tier is ad-supported using Google AdMob. Paid tiers (Scholar and Clinician) are ad-free. AdMob serves non-personalized ads only — Health Lumia does not use Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework and does not share data with AdMob for cross-app tracking or ad personalization. To serve and measure ads and prevent fraud, AdMob's SDK collects a device identifier and basic product-interaction data (e.g. that an ad was shown or tapped); this data is not linked to your identity by Health Lumia and is not used for tracking. Purchases

Unlocking the Scholar or Clinician tier is a one-time in-app purchase processed entirely through Apple's App Store (StoreKit). Health Lumia never sees or stores your payment details — Apple handles billing and ties your purchase to your Apple ID, which is how "Restore Purchases" works on a new device.

Local device storage

The app saves a small amount of data locally on your device using iOS's standard UserDefaults — your selected content tier (Explorer, Scholar, or Clinician) and, if applicable, which tiers you've unlocked. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us.

Content

All disease information displayed in the app is pre-computed educational content sourced from peer-reviewed literature and public health guidelines. It is served as static data and is not personalised to you in any way.

Children's privacy

Health Lumia is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
